AMELIA ROSE EARHART: AVIATRIX

My name is Amelia Earhart and I am the namesake and distant relative of the original Amelia. When I began flying in 2003, I realized that aviation gave me the confidence, poise and sense of adventure to take on any task at hand. I have used these skills while reporting on KUSA-TV in Denver as a traffic reporter and weather forecaster, while becoming a meteorologist and while starting my own charity, The Fly With Amelia Foundation, which grants scholarships to allow young women to learn to fly.
When Amelia disappeared in 1937, she left behind a legacy of flight. She challenged the pilots of tomorrow to grow their own wings and see the world. This is why I will recreate and complete the flight she never got to finish.
